From tomorrow until January 11 will be held in Frankfurt, the most important international fair of textiles for the home and hotel industry, with the presence of 82 national companies.
At the Heimtextil 2019 Fair, almost 3,000 exhibitors from all over the world are expected to attend 70,000 professional visitors.

In a fair where 90% of the exhibitors come from outside Germany, Portugal stands out as the main European supplier of bed linen and bath. There are 82 Portuguese companies that will occupy 5,896 m2 of exhibition space, a record value for the Portuguese industry.

The countries with the largest number of visitors in 2018 were Germany, China, Italy, USA, UK, Turkey, India, France, Spain and Pakistan.

Heimtextil 2019 presents itself with a new concept, introducing the new pavilion 12, entirely dedicated to bed and bath linen, the visitor now finds in a single pavilion everything he needs in this segment. It is also here that 60% of Portuguese exhibitors are present, both in the segment dedicated to the private label and the segment dedicated to consumer brands. In Pavilion 9.0 and framed in an environment of decorative articles, companies are presented with bedspreads and blankets.

Many of the companies have the support of the Home From Portugal Association within the framework of the Internationalization Project under Portugal 2020. The Selectiva Moda Association will be present with two stands dedicated to the trends “made in Portugal”, underlining the excellence of the our industrial production of home textiles. The Municipality of Guimarães, from which about half of the companies present at Heimtextil, will also present a booth to publicize the region.

Portuguese companies will receive on the first day of Heimtextil the visit of the Secretary of State for Internationalization, Eurico Brilhante Dias, the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, João Correia Neves, and the Portuguese Ambassador to Portugal, João Mira Gomes.
